The picture above is of my Dad, my Aunt Judy and my Uncle Stan (the one with the shades).
As you can tell by the picture Uncle Stan was and always will be cool.
Uncle Stan passed away last week and will be missed. I had the chance to go to the funeral and spend time with his family and friends. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Uncle Stan was a wonderful uncle to me and I will never forget the summers I spent with him and the fun we had.
Death is a sad thing that can be hard to fully understand, but I know I will see Uncle Stan again. We do not end after this life, we all will live again. It's truths like that which brings comfort at these times.

Thanks! This was very sweet and very special. Uncle Stan loved you and everyone should have an "Uncle Stan" in their lives.
It is about time you blogged something!!! You did a great job at the funeral and it was unfortunate yet fun to see you that weekend.
