Happy Mothers day

I agree with Mr T. when he says "Mother, there is no other, like mother... so treat her right"

Love you mom. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you.

Miss You Uncle Stan

The picture above is of my Dad, my Aunt Judy and my Uncle Stan (the one with the shades).
As you can tell by the picture Uncle Stan was and always will be cool.
Uncle Stan passed away last week and will be missed. I had the chance to go to the funeral and spend time with his family and friends. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Uncle Stan was a wonderful uncle to me and I will never forget the summers I spent with him and the fun we had.
Death is a sad thing that can be hard to fully understand, but I know I will see Uncle Stan again. We do not end after this life, we all will live again. It's truths like that which brings comfort at these times.

Raise your hand if you miss Hawaii

I thought I would get the Blog going again.

JoLyn and I really miss Hawaii. We miss the beach, ocean, waves, sun, coconuts, all of our friends still over there, and all that is great about that little piece of land. We are hoping to end up there someday. In the meantime we are kicking it in the land of Utah. I am doing that thing called work, and JoLyn is doing the school plus work thing. Don't worry Utah isn't that bad, there are lots of rocks here.

Journey! Not the American Rock band, but the act of traveling from one place to another.

video

I found this clip of me on a boat traveling from the Island of Maui to the Island of Kahoolawe, and thought I would share it. I went over for a school project last semester to help preserve and protect the island. It was nice to be able to give my part to Hawaii since it has been so good to me. You can see the stuff we did on this website. It was a once in a lifetime experience to swim with dolphins, save an island, and unite with my nature side. My word of wisdom today would be... do things that are "once in a life time" kind of things and you will never regret it, unless something really bad happens. If something really bad happens on one of those "once in a lifetime experiences" just please don' blame me, it was only a suggestion.

I look forward to the many journeys ahead almost as much as I look forward to listening to the new journey album.

All Work And No Play...

I thought I would post some pictures of me at work. For those who don't know, I play drums for the Night Show at the Polynesian Cultural Center. I play the Tongan, Tahitian, Fijian, and Samoan drums. I have been working there for over 2 years now and my time is almost up. Sorry, It might be hard to spot me in these pictures because I do a great job at blending in.

Painting The Town a Reddish Color

JoLyn and I went to China Town last week. We ate at one of my favorite Restaurants in town, this little Mexican place that serves the best Taco Salads.

After Dinner we went to the best Jazz club in town, The Dragon Upstairs. We just sipped our cranberry juice as the sound of smooth jazz filled our ears.

The Stairs of The Dragon Upstairs.

I played around with my ISO settings on my new camera.

We met some new friends.

We had a baby, I mean we held our friends baby.

We saw a waterfall and homeless people sleeping.

It was quite the adventure.

Relativity

I made it through midterms. It took countless bottles of vitamin water and my "you can do it" playlist, but it was nice to be done with my tests and finally have time to spend with JoLyn.

The photo above was taken by my friend Ellie, she was kind enough to take our engagement photos. They turned out really great. The one above is my favorite.
